Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) is the largest wine manufacturer in the Southern Hemisphere and is a publicly listed company. They manufacture some of the most well known wine brands such as Penfolds, Wolf Blass, 19 Crimes and Lindeman’s. Committed towards sustainability and having ‘planet’ as one of their four key pillars, TWE wanted to be efficient in their operation when sourcing and producing their wine.
TWE’s packaging and warehousing facility in Mildura used to consume 1.5 million kWh of energy every year, which was costing them close to $3million. More importantly they were concerned about the carbon emissions that the site produced.
Being a large energy consumer, TWE is registered under the Environment and Resource Efficiency Plan (EREP) and this limited them from taking advantage of the Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program. The Auspro team visited the site, conducted an assessment and measured the approximate savings per annum. We then advised TWE throughout the process so that they were able to benefit from the VEU program and claim subsidies wherever they were eligible.
Their packaging and warehousing facility had consistently high power bills and they were looking to reduce their costs by upgrading lights to LED. Our highly trained team of professional assessors evaluated the TWE facility and designed an optimal energy upgrade program. Auspro installed one thousand 150W 5000K high bay lights, which ended up saving TWE up to $298,820 per annum.
